Job Description Summary

Service Technical Contract Leader (STCL) provides CSA customer focused technical leadership of engine repair specification definition, Workscoping of the engines and meeting the shop visit objectives. All activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety, and other performance parameters. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality, and timeliness of objectives.

Job Description

In this role, you will report to Services CTP Sub-Section Manager, Services Engineering at JFWTC, GEA India, Bangalore. In addition, you will interface with organizations such as the Engineering Departments, Services, Digital Services Solutions (DSS), CSA Operations and Customer & Product Support Organization (C&PSO) based on business need.

  • Support of installed base including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, fleet configuration.

  • Partner with PSE, CPM’s and CTP team to identify and update Customer Repair Specifications and TOW optimization opportunities for assigned contracts.

  • Define right workscope for the engine meeting workscope planning guide and customer repair spec objectives.

  • Review Customer’s requirements and recommend engine workscope to maximize/Optimize engine Time on Wing life.

  • Partner with C&PSO and Services Technology team to implement on/near-wing technology for respective customer accounts to improve engine on-wing life.

  • Lead business initiatives for field issues and cost of ownership goals. Participate/lead initiatives related to reducing cost per shop visit.

  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stays informed of current industry trends.

  • Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behaviour with a proactive example of communication internally and externally

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 6 years of experience in Aviation Engines or Turbo machinery Engineering position.Previous experience in Aviation Engines/Systems/Repair/Fleet team or Turbo Machinery Engineering position (design, analysis, systems, services)Experience in engine troubleshooting and root cause investigations.Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities.Demonstrated leadership in continuous improvement project.Ability and willingness to travel as required.
