About the role

Experienced Cloud Operationss professional. Oversees the cost/benefit analysis to determine the financial, operational, and technical feasibility of adopting external cloud-based IT platform and infrastructure services.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline to automate infrastructure deployments

  • Strong experience in AWS CDK & Python programming to design & deploy infrastructure as code (IaC)

  • Expertise in developing & deploying automation scripts for AWS Account Vending, Custom Control Tower configurations, and Service Catalog products deployments using AWS CDK & Python scripting .

  • As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you would have experience in supporting the team with design & code reviews.

  • Automate repetitive tasks and streamline operational workflows using Python scripting language.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure & pipeline issues, performance bottlenecks, and service validations in timely manner

  • Implement security best practices while developing & deploying automation scripts in AWS environment

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve development processes, implement DevOps best practices, and enable a culture of continuous improvement

  • Up to date knowledge in latest AWS services, features and best practices

Requirements

We are looking for people who are

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.

  • Typically has 6 to 10 years of IT work experience, with knowledge AWS Cloud services.

  • Experience in leading & code review support to the team.

  • Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies, practices, and principles

  • Strong infrastructure automation and management experience using AWS CDK

  • Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer or similar role in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong automation scripting experience using Python , with familiarity in other scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell

  • Proven experience in implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in AWS CodePipeline with strong knowledge of AWS native services & tools.

  • Proficiency in Visual Studio Code , Atom, Sublime or similar IDE for script developments

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • AWS CloudFormation or Terraform would be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certification such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Developer Associate, Solutions Architect Associate.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes

  • Good proficiency in CI/CD related tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD, etc.

  • Good proficiency with automated validation frameworks
