Wells Fargo Lead Software Engineer in Bengaluru, India

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact

  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs

  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors

  • Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals

  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in the following functional areas: Global Strategy Management for J2EE applications, Micro Services, Cloud Foundry Migrations (Technology transformation), Alfresco/PEGA applications

  • Senior level leadership experience managing a complex organization including Architects, managers, individual contributors, Business teams, LOB’s and vendor resources in a matrix set-up, across geographies (US & India) for development, support and maintenance of product releases

  • 5+ years of Hands-on experience in designing/architecting and developing applications on service-oriented architecture (SOA), MicroServices and JEE technologies using Tomcat, Spring Boot and WebSphere including REST API, Maven, Jenkins, Databases(MSSQL Server, Oracle, No-SQL) and frameworks (Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud (Configuration bus, Zipkins), Hibernate, Maven, MQ, JUnit, Angular JS, React JS, jQuery, MQ, HTML, XML, CSS, Oracle, JNDI, JAAS)

  • 5+ years of Strong Experience of Workflow applications/tools Alfresco, Camunda, jBPM, Activiti Engine or similar platforms (like PEGA) is a mandatory requirement for this role.

  • 5+ years of experience in analyzing and solving performance, transactional, Multithreading and Java memory issues

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud adoption and cloud migration of the applications including re-factoring and migration to Azure or GCP (target platforms)

  • 3+ years of experience coordinating with other managers globally creating roadmaps, operational processes, re-engineering solutions and setting standards for operational deliveries

  • Hands-on Workflow/Java development with experience in implementation of business use cases.

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security.

  • Ability to motivate a team and lead strategic initiatives, collaborating across a large organization and multi-tasking as required.

  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams.

  • Ability to articulate and brand the team with leaders and motivate team and participate in enterprise initiatives.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) with ability to communicate at multiple levels ranging from technologists to senior managers and executive leadership

  • Mentoring & Tech Citizenship– This includes coaching and providing technical design and architecture guidance for initiatives, participation in Hackathon and submission of white papers/patent ideas.
