Job Description
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply intermediate to advanced knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.

Responsibilities
Work as a Principal Applications Engineer who leads the design and architecture of complex systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability
Expected to be a technical leader, providing direction, mentorship, and expertise, while also taking ownership of complex projects
Possess a strong understanding of various technologies, frameworks, and best practices, and be able to apply them effectively to solve complex problems
Proactively identify gaps in the existing infrastructure and development process, acting as a catalyst for change for greater system and solution efficiency
Provide direction in architecture discussions, design sessions and code reviews on functional correctness, architectural maintainability and performance
Leverage deep technical and solution expertise to create clear, well-constructed technical designs of large scope
Code for high-risk projects that have solution dependencies within and outside current team
Work is a non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
Minimum 7+ years of software engineering or related experience in Object Oriented Programming and coding using .NET or Java programming languages
Minimum 7+ years of experience in two or more preferred skills including Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Oracle APEX, Python
Minimum 7+ years of experience working with databases SQL Server 2012/16/19, Oracle DB, Oracle Autonomous Database, MySQL
Experience with no SQL and vector databases is a plus
Experience with AI/ML would be advantage
Experience with cloud technologies Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Minimum 5+ years of experience with Agile development methodologies
Minimum 7+ years of experience working with REST APIs and/or Web Services
Minimum 7+ years of experience practicing CI/CD, DevOps
Minimum 5+ years of experience with Automation Test Driven Development
Minimum 5+ years of experience using version controls such as Git, Bitbucket, SVN
Extensive experience with troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Participate in code reviews and identify moderate issues or deviations from best practices
Collaborate on component level technical designs
Own and assist others in debugging and documenting root cause analysis and resolution
Promote engineering culture and values across the organization
