Oracle Principal Program Manager - Oracle Database Product Group in BENGALURU, India

Job Description

Here's an opportunity to be at the centre of the action within the Oracle Database product group.The Database Program Management team is looking for a dynamic person to handle fast-paced releases both for the cloud and on-prem.

The technical program management team establishes priorities, monitors and facilitates adherence to quality standards and processes through tools and automation, and drives resolution of issues and dependencies across teams to ensure schedules are met. It also presents release status and risks to executive management regularly.

The role is a highly visible one and involves working with global, cross-functional teams to determine release content, collate and publish timelines to internal and external partners, and coordinate and track all activities on a continuous basis for a successful release.The role also provides ample opportunities to analyse engineering processes and metrics, design new ones to address problematic areas and work with partner teams to implement them.

The ideal candidate would have the following:

12 or more years of experience in a software product development organization. Broad technical knowledge in C/C++, Java, SQL and Linux. Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills. Strong critical thinking skills. Proven ability to own and be accountable for programs. Demonstrated ability to enforce standards of quality and compliance. Ability to gauge organizational dynamics. Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and build consensus and partnerships across teams. Demonstrated ability and desire to analyse existing processes and practices and introduce improvements. A curious mentality and a persistent attitude.
