Job Description
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks, etc
As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications, operating systems, and databases to provide design specifications. You will build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.
Assists in the development of short-term, medium-term, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts with senior management or executives across functional areas to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, and thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
The ideal candidate is highly technical, can code, perform code reviews, raise the bar for code quality, and lead across the full stack, along with good product sense and business understanding, to map the technology choices to the context of each initiative.

Perform Code Reviews.
You will build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.
You have solid communication skills. You can clearly explain complex technical concepts.
You have clear operational expectations from the system and engineers and can drive culture to form the go-forward basis for operational excellence with the team.
You have exposure to Cloud, SaaS, and performance concerns.
You have knowledge and experience defining and monitoring the system’s quality measures, SLO, and SLA.
You have built tooling to improve system reliability, automate issue remediation, and scale platforms and systems.
You work backward, starting from the user or consumer. You care about creating helpful software that solves real problems and delights users.
You work well with everyone. You can lead a conversation in a room with designers, engineers, and product managers.
