Walmart Manager, Inventory Management - Rx Merchandising in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

• Directs development of complex inventory strategies within categories by building forecasts to align with merchandising needs; validating and implementing new item forecasts; monitoring and calibrating store forecasts; and operating and manipulating office productivity software, statistical packages, inventory management systems, and ad hoc query tools.

• Validates the placement of orders within complex merchandise categories by calibrating parameters within the supply chain process to determine appropriate inventory levels; examining and authorizing co-managed supplier flow plans and inventory strategies; developing, coordinating, and completing demand plans with suppliers and other business partners; evaluating and completing new assortment/modular execution; monitoring orders to ensure proper store quantity distribution; identifying incorrect item set up; coordinating and developing solutions for non-routine situations; providing guidance to team members; and responding to escalated issues related to order placement and validation.

• Directs and develops forecast parameters and modifications for one or more category teams by approving strategies across multiple merchandise categories; overseeing implementation of division, department, category, and item strategies; developing inventory strategies assigned category teams; validating and implementing new item forecasts; monitoring and calibrating store forecast; and operating and manipulating standard office productivity software, statistical packages, inventory management systems, and ad hoc query tools.

• Collaborates with merchants to align strategic business objectives and initiatives to drive replenishment strategies by evaluating root cause and providing solutions to merchants for in-stock; developing inventory flow strategies while partnering with merchants to understand merchandise strategies and priorities; providing updates during category team meetings managing modular tracking; providing reports and tracking for merchants using multiple systems; creating and developing processes to ensure proper store quantity distribution and item set-up; and reviewing order issues at category ownership level.

• Achieves financial results for complex merchandise categories by analyzing data and using bottom-up inventory planning to develop recommendations; analyzing seasonal inventory flow plans to ensure they meet customer demand and return-on-investment goals; participating in and managing cross-functional projects to meet strategic financial plans; leveraging analytics to influence decisions; modeling future inventory plans based on supplier capability; delivering key performance metrics and communicating objectives and results of financial and operational performance to internal and external management.

Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.

  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.

  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

  • Manages and ensures operation and execution of returns processes by overseeing all financial transactions for returns; overseeing and approving supplier payback requests and dispute negotiations; establishing and managing partnership with third-party processors to ensure proper execution of returns; conducting quarterly business reviews with leadership; auditing third-party returns processors to ensure compliance with returns policies; consulting and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders on supplier agreements and outdated/aged returns; overseeing the execution of special projects in pharmacy returns; and coordinating special item returns between stakeholders.

  • Provides expertise in returns to drive efficiencies by directing stakeholders on returns processing; guiding all levels of management on proper product disposition; ensuring state and federal regulations and compliance guidelines on pharmacy returns and disposition are being met; conducting item data and outdated returns analyses; presenting senior leadership with weekly forecast and budget, monthly store performance results, execution issues, and best practices.

  • Manages recalls and post-audit claims by ensuring recalls are set up and programmed correctly in the system; ensuring the accurate processing of recalls; analyzing actual product returned in relation to affected recall product; informing operators using data on store performance issues based on product recall analysis; reviewing and ensuring the validity of post-audit claims; approving post-audit claims for supplier deductions; and providing training and feedback to internal and external audit teams.

  • Manages the profit and loss for returns by creating, tracking, monitoring, and communicating trends, forecasts, and budget management; performing analysis, planning, and forecasting to determine overall impact; analyzing performance against plan to ensure budget expectations are met; making necessary adjustments to business initiatives; partnering with key stakeholders to review and ensure its accuracy; and presenting and communicating results to senior leadership.

  • Manages the processing and execution of debit memo files from vendors by verifying and ensuring the accuracy of received data; ensuring correct return processes are executed; determining whether a debit memo can be deducted; collaborating with stakeholders to resolve non-deductible claims; maintaining the communication system for debit memo corrections and deductions; ensuring debit memo files are deducted according to guidelines; and verifying changes have been applied when reviewing debit memo files.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
