What you'll do...

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting large-scale data pipelines. You will own a mix of batch-job and event-driven data processing applications with strict SLAs around processing latencies and accuracy. You will work with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Platform/Service Engineers to build robust, fault-tolerant, large-scale data processing applications including datalakes and warehouses.

About the Team:

As a member of the of the Fraud Prevention Services Engineering group, you will work on exciting and challenging problems that have an immense impact on the Sam's club business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop and maintain data processing systems and pipelines using Python, PySpark, Google Cloud, Azure, WCNP, Apache Airflow, and other relevant tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design solutions that meet those requirements.

  • Build and maintain scalable infrastructure to support data processing and analysis. - Implement best practices for data engineering, data analysis, and data visualization disciplines.

  • Develop and maintain automated machine learning pipelines using frameworks such as Vertex.ai or Element.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Work with large datasets and perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

  • Implement DevOps and MLOps practices to ensure smooth deployment and operation of data solutions.

  • Collaborate with data scientists and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide necessary data engineering support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in machine learning algorithms such as multi-class classifications, decision trees, support vector machines, XGboost, deep learning, and anomaly detection.

  • Ability to implement developed Machine Learning solutions into production.

  • Strong foundation in Statistics, Mathematics.

  • Strong experience with Python, Pyspark, Google Cloud, Azure, WCNP, Apache Airflow, and other related technologies.

  • Solid understanding of data engineering, data analysis, and data visualization disciplines.

  • Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting large-scale data pipelines.

  • Familiarity with automated machine learning pipelines and frameworks like Vertex.ai or Element.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data analysis.

  • Good understanding of DevOps and MLOps practices.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

DALLAS, Texas US-09648/BENTONVILLE, Arkansas US-09930:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
