Work Location:This position will be based at our Bethany, MO location.
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Purpose:Evaluate,authorize,orrecommendapprovalofagricultural,commercial,realestate,orconsumer loans.Adviseborrowers onfinancialstatusandpaymentmethods.Includesmortgageloanofficersandagents,collectionanalysts,loanservicing officers, and loan underwriters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzeapplicants'financialstatus,credit,andpropertyevaluationstodeterminefeasibilityofgrantingloans.
- Obtainandcompilecopiesofloanapplicants'credithistories,corporatefinancialstatements,andotherfinancial information.
- Meetwithapplicantstoobtaininformationforloanapplicationsandtoanswerquestionsabouttheprocess.
- Explaintocustomersthedifferenttypesofloansandcreditoptionsthatareavailable,aswellasthetermsof those services.
- Reviewloanagreementstoensurethattheyarecompleteandaccurateaccordingtopolicy.
- Approveloanswithinspecifiedlimits,andreferloanapplicationsoutsidethoselimitstomanagementfor approval.
- Handlecustomercomplaintsandtakeappropriateactiontoresolvethem.
- Setcreditpolicies,creditlines,proceduresandstandardsinconjunctionwithseniormanagers.
- Stayabreastofnewtypesofloansandotherfinancialservicesandproductstobettermeetcustomers'needs.
- Reviewandupdatecreditandloanfiles.
- Submitapplicationstocreditanalystsforverificationandrecommendation.
- Computepaymentschedules.
- Conferwithunderwriterstoaidinresolvingmortgageapplicationproblems.
- Marketbankproductstoindividualsandfirms,promotingbankservicesthatmaymeetcustomers'needs.
- Workwithclientstoidentifytheirfinancialgoalsandtofindwaysofreachingthosegoals.
- Negotiatepaymentarrangementswithcustomerswhohavedelinquentloans.
- Analyzepotentialloanmarketsanddevelopreferralnetworkstolocateprospectsforloans.
- Preparereportstosendtocustomerswhoseaccountsaredelinquent,andforwardirreconcilableaccountsfor collector action.
- Providespecialservicessuchasinvestmentbankingforclientswithmorespecializedneeds.
- Arrangeformaintenanceandliquidationofdelinquentproperties.
- Petitioncourtstotransfertitlesanddeedsofcollateraltobanks.
Qualifications:
- BachelorsdegreeinEconomics,Financeorsimilarareaisusefulbutnotrequired.
- Fiveyearssalesexperienceinlendingorbanking.
- Excellentverbalandwrittencommunicationskills,includingabilitytoeffectivelycommunicatewithinternaland external customers.
- Excellentcomputerproficiency(MSOffice-Word,ExcelandOutlook).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Working Conditions:
- Thisjoboperatesinaclericalofficesetting.Thisroleroutinelyusesstandardofficeequipmentsuchas computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Requirements:
- Thispositionrequiresmanualdexterity,theabilitytoliftfilesandopenfilingcabinets.Thispositionrequires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
- AbilitytosafelyandsuccessfullyperformtheessentialjobfunctionsconsistentwiththeADA,FMLAandother federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Abilitytomaintainregular,punctualattendanceconsistentwiththeADA,FMLAandotherfederal,stateand local standards.
- Mustbeabletotalk,listenandspeakclearlyontelephone.
