Operations Associate 

Parking Lot Painting Company, (PLP) is seeking an operations associate to join its operations team in their Bethel Park, Pennsylvania office.  The candidate will be responsible for operations/project support tasks and should possess the ability to take on significant responsibility-and a leadership role-over time.  Experience in road construction, dispatch, and knowledge of PennDOT requirements is preferred.  This is an opportunity to enter a growing industry with a well-established company who has worked in roadway safety throughout Pennsylvania for the last 56 years.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a positive relationship with all employees, contractors, and potential customers.

  • Possess exceptional multi-tasking abilities.

  • Create master schedule in coordination with Operations Manager.

  • Schedule and dispatch all jobs that are secured by Parking Lot Painting Co.

  • Assign field technicians to jobs in order to achieve optimum results.

  • Maintain a detailed list of all equipment, dates of use and locations being used.

  • Provide proper documentation to all field employees to effectively execute their jobs.

  • Ability to read plans and anticipate all requirements of jobs being conducted by field team.

  • Provide administrative support in any way needed. Monitor incoming and outbound project calls for timely completion and reporting. 

  • Respond to and handle customer questions and problems in a timely manner. 

  • Ensure that all project related communication is properly logged and communicated to essential personnel.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet.

  • Knowledge of local and regional geographic area

  • Make decisions under pressure and time constraints.

  • Must have good phone skills and interact well with others.

    Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent construction/operations scheduling experience/roadway construction preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years in supporting multiple projects and people.

  • Associate degree or minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
