If you are looking for a part-time position, working in a fast paced bakery environment, we would love for you to join our Sales Department to package, seal and label baked goods for customer pick-up.
Responsibilities
- Handling cakes with delicacy and carefully boxing all orders without damage.
- Performing a final check of printed orders for accuracy, highlighting and noting pertinent information.
- Checking finished product against order slip for correct size, batter, decorations, inscriptions, etc. to ensure all packaged items meet Bethel Bakery's quality standards.
- Entering orders into the POS and tracking orders.
- Organizing, cleaning and stocking supplies for department, as needed.
- Maintaining a clean work area (workstations, equipment, etc.).
- Helping our call center send out orders to customers, and assisting The Cake Place to answer customer questions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent organizational skills and effective time management skills.
- Customer focused, with thorough attention to detail and presentation.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to work in/out of coolers/freezers.
- Ability to comprehend and follow all company procedures and regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
- Efficient computer skills & POS experience.
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal, oral and written, to be able to interface with other departments, as well as provide excellent customer service.
- Must be able to stand, lift 10-20 pounds consistently, reach, kneel, bend, sit and walk during the course of your shift.
- Strong work ethic.
- Clean & professional appearance.
Compensation & Hours
- Starting hourly rate is $12/hour.
- Part-time; 20+ hours/week
- Wednesday 10-4 p.m.; Thursday 8:30-5 p.m.; Friday 8:30 -5 p.m.; Saturday 7-11 a.m.
- No late nights! Closed Sundays and on major holidays, which include New Year's Day, ?Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.
- Must be available to work on "All Hands on Deck Days."
Additional information
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Will be required to wear slip resistant shoes during your shift.
Work Location
5200 Brightwood Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102; must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate prior to starting work.
