Robert Half Senior Plant Accountant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Plant Accountant in the Manufacturing industry, based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. As a Senior Plant Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting cycle, conducting financial analysis, ensuring financial accuracy, leveraging our ERP system, collaborating with the Operations team, and leading the team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire accounting cycle, including processing of monthly statements, annual budgets, and maintaining control over inventory.

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of cost data and develop cost-of-goods information to recommend strategies for continuous improvement.

• Lead audits and reviews to ensure compliance with GAAP standards and identify opportunities for optimization.

• Utilize our existing ERP system (Infor Visual Mfg.) and guide the implementation of a new system (Microsoft D365) to improve efficiency.

• Foster strong relationships with the Operations team, providing financial expertise and trusted guidance.

• Lead and mentor the Cycle Counter/Inventory Analyst, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.

• Handle customer inquiries and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner. Requirements • Proficient in accounting software systems such as 3M, ADP - Financial Services, Eaton, and Epicor

• Strong knowledge of accounting functions and the ability to manage accounts payable (AP)

• Experience with annual budgeting and budget processes

• Proven ability in auditing and cost accounting

• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment

• Demonstrated experience with complex financial analysis and reporting

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• detail oriented certification such as CPA is an advantage

• Significant experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
