We are looking for talented and innovative students to join our Corporate Department global Biostatistics and Data Science.

Within the internship, you will get to know the daily work of a clinical data scientist and support related activities, such as the planning of statistical analyses, dataset and analysis programming and interpretation of analyses.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and literature reviews to stay updated on the latest techniques and methodologies in clinical design, statistical programming, and data analysis.

  • You will assist in the development and implementation of innovative statistical approaches to enhance data analysis in clinical development.

  • You will apply statistical techniques to analyze and interpret clinical trial data, providing insights and recommendations for decision-making.

  • You develop and implement data transformation methods to optimize data quality and usability.

  • You develop and maintain programming codes and scripts to automate data processing and analysis tasks.

  • You collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and interpret clinical trial data.

  • During your internship, you will have the chance to explore innovative techniques for clinical designs, data transformation, statistical programming, and data analysis.

Your Profile:

  • Student in at least the 4th semester of Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or related fields

  • Good knowledge of statistical methodology and basic knowledge of design of clinical trials, medical terminology, and processing clinical trial information

  • First hands-on experience in relevant software languages, like R and SAS

  • Excellent analytical skills and solution-oriented working style as well as high willingness to learn

  • Reliability, intrinsic motivation, commitment, and a strong team player

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

What we can offer you:

  • As a student intern, you can expect a fair expense allowance (payment of the currently valid minimum wage)

  • You will be given 2.5 days of paid time off for every full month of the internship

  • A full-time internship is 37.5 hours a week (a smaller number of hours can be arranged)

  • In our team we also offer you a hybrid working model in which you can work remotely several days a week!

The duration of the internship is 4 to 6 months . The start of the internship can be made several times a year. Please enter the desired period in your application.
