The U.S. Census Bureau Hiring Field Supervisor in Supervisor Area (FSA) 7851 Big Lake, AK which includes all places in the boroughs of Kenai Peninsula and Kodiak Island. A portion of Anchorage Municipality and a portion of Matanuska-Susitna which incudes, Big Lake, Buffalo Soapstone, Chase, *Farm Loop, *Fishook, *Gateway, Houston, *Knik-Fairview, *Lakes, *Meadow Lakes, *Palmer, Petersville, Point MacKenzie, Skwentna, Susitna, Susitna North, Talkeetna, Tanaina, Trapper Creek, *Wasilla, and Willow, AK.

• $26.53 - $34.50 per hour plus COLA
• Home Duty Station

Duties

• Leads a team of approximately 6 to 15 Field Representatives responsible for data collection in accordance with the scientific standards and expectations set by the Census Bureau and survey sponsors.
• Understands surveys and or Special Census being conducted including response patterns, differences in survey procedures, their effect on interviewing experience, and is able to leverage general guidance, previous training, experience, and survey resource material in directing Field Representatives to resolve issues.
• Regularly assists with the recruitment and training of Field Representatives.
• When needed, conducts in person interviews throughout the assigned geographic area.
• Evaluates, monitors, and mentors Field Representative performance through performance metrics on the job observations, regular performance reviews and conducts supervisory and administrative duties including the review and approval of payroll and leave requests.

Qualifications:

• Must be U.S. Citizen.
• 18yrs of age or older.
