Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Machine Operator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with knowledge of setups and programming who wants to further their skills. You will be running a CNC machine and some manual machines, producing custom parts for our machine building operations. You will be trained by an experienced machinist to ensure you are well-prepared for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines and manual machines.

  • Produce custom parts for machine building.

  • Perform setups on CNC machines, even if they are simple.

  • Read and interpret blueprints.

  • Learn and apply feeds and speeds for machining processes.

  • Understand and use G&M codes.

Essential Skills

  • Some CNC operation experience or relevant schooling.

  • Understanding of feeds and speeds.

  • Knowledge of G&M codes.

  • Experience with performing setups, even if simple.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • CNC programming at the machine, especially for simple parts.

  • Manual machining experience.

Work Environment

You will be working in a smaller, laid-back shop that is not a traditional machine shop but has a dedicated CNC department. The atmosphere is blue-collar and supportive, providing a great environment for learning and development.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
