Job Description
A leading lead distributor and manufacturer is looking for a plant manager to oversee their plant in Birmingham, AL. This person would be overseeing 120 people with 7 direct reports. This person will leverage their leadership skills, lean manufacturing expertise, and knowledge of ERP systems to guide and optimize processes at the Birmingham plant. This is a hands-on role for an experienced leader in the industrial manufacturing space.

Skills and Requirements
-5 or more years of plant management experience in industrial-equivalent manufacturing (ie. steel fabrication)
-Proven longevity in previous roles
-Experience exercising lean manufacturing, budgeting and forecasting
-Experience leading at a plant size between 80-150 people
-Experience with ERP systems
-Ability to remain "on-call" as needed
-Knowledge of machine maintenance and optimization
-Ability to build rapport with the team
-Ability to work hands-on with the plant team -Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering null
