Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

As Senior Writer, you’ll be crafting and executing creative concepts for a diverse client base’s blogs, articles, videos, infographics, social media, email marketing campaigns, and more. The Senior Content Writer will be instrumental in developing content strategies tailored to brands across various industries, while closely collaborating with the account team to write, assign, edit, and publish content that meets client objectives and aligns with both the client’s and our content guidelines. The Senior writer will immerse themselves into the client’s brand and product offerings to become the team’s go-to subject matter expert.

A Senior Writer should have a strong background in editing and writing digital media, be able to present innovative ideas to clients, and write and edit exciting stories across digital and social media platforms.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Brainstorming, creating, and managing editorial development from pitch to final story

  • Generating compelling creative pitches tailored to clients and collaborate closely with account management, project managers, and XD teams to brainstorm new content implementation ideas that align with client goals

  • Developing, writing, and delivering persuasive copy to appear on various clients’ content channels, including, but not limited to: blogs, articles, videos, infographics, social media, email marketing campaigns, and more

  • Recruiting and onboarding freelance writers

  • Auditing content using competitor analysis, marketplace knowledge, and internal data

  • Ensuring all copy produced meets our style guide, SEO goals, and editorial standards

  • Managing editorial/content calendar

  • Measuring traffic and performing analysis to improve KPIs

  • Actively participating in day-to-day team meetings, trainings, and project priorities, sharing responsibilities, new ideas, and feedback with team members

  • Working with cross-functional teams to help develop and drive content forward

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Four-year degree and 3-5 years of experience writing, editing, and publishing digital content for a publisher, creative studio, or agency preferred

  • Experience working cross-functionally with both internal and external partners

  • Strong client-facing presentation skills

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven with the ability to talk through visual concepts with visual editors, and ability to multitask

  • Strong editorial skills, keen sense of how to develop content that serves a targeted reader intent, and ability to work with SEO data and insights to help drive editorial decisions

  • Attention to detail, news judgment, and careful eye for accuracy

  • Ability to ideate, research, write and edit quickly on a variety of topics

  • Energy, a sense of humor, and an open and curious mind

  • Impeccable verbal/written communication skills, organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
