**JOB DUTIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE:
Performs full service on cars, trucks and equipment. Inspect vehicles and equipment for damages, change fluids and parts, and operate scan tool. [Assists higher-level technicians in repair and replacement of major parts on cars, trucks and equipment. Performs routine service and maintenance. These tasks would include but not limited to oil changes, vehicle inspections, filter replacement, replacing tires, programming TPMS sensors, lubrication system servicing, spark plug replacement. Repairs and or replaces minor worn out parts.Show the ability to trouble shoot and repair air conditioning systems. Troubleshoot gas and/or diesel engines. Repair, rebuild and replace major parts.Provides service and repair of vehicles, operates welding torches, cleans equipment and tools around shop. Maintain shop tooling and equipment.
MAJOR WORKER CHARACTERISTICS:
Knowledge of auto mechanics, auto test equipment, safety practices associated with repair procedures. Ability to understand systems of mechanical procedures, work alone and perform physical functions of the job. Have a basic understanding of warranty work and the process of how warranty decisions impact customers. Show an understanding of rework and downtime and what the true costs are of rework. Example - customer issues, machine downtime, etc. The ability for minor customer contact and communications.
