Job Title: Cage Cashier
JOB SUMMARY:
The Cage Cashier is responsible for the accurate handling of coin &
currency, and check transactions. Protects company assets while providing
fast and friendly guest service and promoting customer programs and events.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an
assigned shift. Verifies all funds at the beginning and end of each shift.
Ensures accountability of all transactions through verification and
documentation of exchanges. Verify correct amounts of loose and bundled
money. Conducts coin, and coupon transactions for guests and Slot
personnel. Redeems various marketing promotion coupons. Provides prompt,
friendly and courteous service to all guests and employees in a confidential
manner. Acts as a source of information for guests or refers guests to the
appropriate personnel/ facility. Prepares hand-paid jackpots and hopper
fills through Bull Durham's Slot Data System. Issues jackpots and hopper
fills to appropriate Slot personnel. Count revenue for kitchen and bar and
prepares deposit slips. Must pull bags of coin off jet sort. Cashes
personal, payroll checks and obtains cash advances on credit cards for
patrons. Process new check cashing applications and cash checks according to
proper procedure. Balances all money transactions and paperwork. Must be able
to stand for long periods. Develops customer loyalty by delivering
unparalleled guest interactions. Capable of handling routine customer
complaints and incidents and exhibits the appropriate discretion to identify
situations that require the attention of supervisory personnel. Well versed in
the various property events and relays same to slot players. Keeps casino
cashiers area clean, secure, and well maintained. Responds appropriately
and professionally over the radio. Understands and complies with company and
departmental directives, policies and procedures. Always presents oneself as
a credit to Bull Durham and encourages others to do the same. Meets the
attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and
company policies. Ensures required gaming license is valid and up-to-date.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ability to work in a small areas with up to four other people. Ability to
maintain composure. Ability to work as part of a team. Lift, carry, push
or drag items of up to 50 lbs. Ability to work standing and walking for long
periods of time. Ability to reach and use frequent and repetitive arm
movements while performing assigned duties. Works in an environment which may
have bright lights and high noise level. Ability to enter/retrieve data
into a computer. Ability to maintain all records in a neat and legible
manner. Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction,
multiplication and division. Ability to count currency and coin. Fluent and
literate in basic English. Responsible for the security of keys, radio,
employee card. Responsible for completing all required regulatory and
company operational logs/forms correctly. Must have knowledge or the
ability to obtain knowledge of casino rules, procedures, and regulations
pertaining to Cage Operations. Must be willing to work nights, weekends,
and holidays and work overtime as needed. Must present a well-groomed and
professional appearance. Ensure all customers are of legal gaming age.
Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain a State of Colorado Gaming
License.

and expertise to newer Bull Durham employees.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Sincerely greets, welcomes and introduces self to all guests; uses guest
name to create a personalized service experience; celebrates the win,
offers a warm farewell.
Promotes and generates new membership into the Sharpshooter program.
Introduces the Sharpshooter Club to new players by providing guest w th
information regarding program services and benefits.
