Job Title: Slot Machine Attendant
JOB SUMMARY:
Ensure slot playing customers are kept in play by experiencing the full range
of fast and friendly guest service through well maintained machines,
efficient change service, and promotion of customer programs and events.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Observes all activity throughout the casino offering assistance to slot
machine players, and instruction, and advice on machine functions and
payouts. Develops customer loyalty by delivering unparalleled guest
interactions. Demonstrates knowledge of the various types of slot machines
and identifies major malfunctions and corrects minor machine malfunctions
including coin, hopper and bill validator jams. Carries required slot tools
to help fix machine problems. Identifies jackpot and hopper fill
transactions, processes, verifies and completes them promptly,
accurately and with the highest degree of service. Participates in slot
machine maintenance, upgrades and new installations. Demonstrates awareness
of the various types of slot cheating methods and recognizes any potential
attempts. Handles routine customer complaints and incidents and exhibits the
appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of
supervisory personnel. Always becomes well versed in the various property
events and relays same to slot machine players. Help keep casino clean,
secure, and well maintained. Responds appropriately and professionally over
the radio. Understands and complies with company and departmental
directives, policies and procedures. Always presents oneself as a credit to
Bull Durham and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance
guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company
policies. Ensures required gaming license is valid and up-to-date.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to physically maneuver throughout the casino and in assigned work
area(s) in order to meet requirements of the job function as described.
Lift, carry, push or drag items of up to 50 lbs. Ability to work
standing and walking for long periods of time. Ability to reach and use
frequent and repetitive arm movements while performing assigned duties.
Ability to work in an environment
which may be smoky, with bright lights and high noise level. Responsibility
for the security of keys, radio, and employee card. Responsibility for
completing all required regulatory and company operational logs/forms
correctly, i.e., machine logs. Must have knowledge or the ability to
obtain knowledge of casino rules, procedures, and regulations pertaining
to Slot Operations. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and
holidays and work overtime. Must present a well-groomed and professional
appearance. Ensure all customers are of legal gaming age. Must read,
write, speak, and understand English. Must demonstrate the ability to
add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Able to accurately and legibly
fill out a
Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain a State of Colorado Gaming
License.
TEAMWORK AND VALUES:
Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Offers support
and expertise to newer Bull Durham employees. Works with co-workers from
other departments in providing the slot department guests with currency
change, beverage and host services.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Sincerely greets, welcomes and introduces self to all guests; uses guest
name to create a personalized service experience; celebrates the win,
offers a warm farewell.
Promotes and generates new membership into the Players club program.
Introduces the Sharpshooter Club to new players by providing guest with
information regarding program services and benefits.
REPORTS TO: Key Manager
