JOB REQUIREMENTS: -Work one-on-one with participants at their work site
-Help participants learn work skills such as punctuality, appropriate
dress, and following directions to their individual employment goals.
-Provide on-the-job support by helping them adjust to a new worksite,
guiding them in learning and understanding their job duties,
supplementing their work as necessary, and systematically fading direct
support. -Occasionally provide transportation for participants to work,
while also encouraging them to learn about other forms of
transportation, and pedestrian safety skills, and assist with
wheelchairs. This position is best suited for someone who values making
a difference in the lives of others, as well as their community.
Patience and good communication skills are very important in this role
as well. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: -At least 18
years old -Drivers license preferred -Basic knowledge and understanding
of issues that affect people with disabilities -Experience using
software packages including Microsoft Office -Access to non-public
transportation including required insurance coverage -Ability to work
split shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed *****
