Primary Function:\
The Proposal Team Leader is an integrated member of the sales and
estimating team. The position has overarching responsibility for the
development of compliant and compelling proposals in response to
customer generated Request for Proposals (RFPs).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads the development of bid/no-bid recommendations.
- Reviews RFPs and identifies requirements to be addressed in each
- Supports the assignment of estimators to RFPs based on estimator
availability and project complexity.
- Leads the sales and estimating team in the development of the bid
strategy and win themes to be incorporated into each
- Works closely with sales, estimating, functional departments,
sub-contractors, and potential partners to compile the information
required to prepare a proposal.
- Tracks the progress of proposals through the estimating process to
ensure that deadlines are
- Leads the preparation of compelling technical and commercial
proposals in accordance with customer RFP requirements.
- Creates schedules in MS Project for submission with proposals.
- Actively participate in pricing committee meetings including
navigating displayed documents and capturing clarifications that
need to be incorporated into the proposal.
- Assist Account Managers in the performance of their duties when they
are on travel. This includes representing the Account Manager in
pricing committee meetings and communicating with clients, as
required.
- Leads weekly team meetings when the Business Unit Manager is on
travel.
- Collate input from Account Managers and sales data to create the
business unit sales report.
- Develops and maintain a repository for historic proposals and
content that can be used as a library for future
- Provides guidance and mentorship for less experienced proposal team
members.

Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years direct work experience as a proposal writer and
Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, English, Public Relations or
similar OR combination of education and experience.
- Proficient with computer software including Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Works well alone and in a team
