We provide challenging, professional experience with a global corporation, where interns learn from and work alongside Donaldson employees. Internships take place at our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN, during an 10-12-week period. Our Product Development Intern will work with members of our global Product and Technology team. They will be working on products or processes to support the Food and Beverage industry. We are looking for an inquisitive, self-motivated, proactive problem solver to execute meaningful projects at our Corporate Headquarters. Responsibilities: Develop and execute an experimental plan to test hypotheses around filtration design Collect and analyze experimental data to guide project decisions Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and scientists to provide technical recommendations Communicate results to a dynamic and diverse global team Learn about the fundamentals of product development Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled Sophomore/2nd year or Junior/3rd year pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biological Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering required Experience with prototyping or hands-on engineering activities Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: Self-starter and initiative Demonstrated problem-solving ability Collaborative nature and interest in working with a cross-functional team Experience working in laboratory environments Understanding of Design of Experiments (DoE) and other statistical tools Knowledge and interest in polymers Knowledge and interest in filtration Mechanical aptitude Employment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
