Digital Print Operator

Blue Ridge Summit, PA

Rowman & Littlefield is looking for quality candidates to complete jobs produced for the digital book center, using bindery, sheet-fed imaging, and other digital print equipment. Qualified candidates are quality conscious, and self-directed.

Responsibilities

· Run perfect binding equipment and attached peripheral devices.

· Operate and maintain rapid reprint equipment, sheetfed imaging equipment, and trimmers.

· Operate trimmers.

· Case in book blocks.

· Communicate quality concerns to Team Lead or Manager.

· Maintain accurate records of books produced.

· Shrink-wrap and pack.

· Assist in maintaining inventory levels.

· Maintain a clean work environment and participate in housekeeping.

· Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

· A high school diploma or GED; minimum of 1-year experience in digital print preferred.

· Good oral and written communication skills.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer literacy.

· Knowledge of basic safety precautions and working well in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (overtime as needed) 1st shift 6:30 am - 3:00 pm.
