Duties

The Financial Data Analyst will serve as a liaison between Technology, Finance, and Business units to facilitate data transformation. Support activities related to financial planning and analysis around pricing, profitability, cash flow management, liquidity risk, and interest rate risk. Develop and enhance product-level pricing and profitability analysis. Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms using Scikit-learn and TensorFlow to answer questions around credit risk, profitability, and pricing. Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns in data. Establish metrics to measure performance, usage, and profitability. Write SQL queries to structure data necessary for machine learning. Validate data developed for analysis by other Business Intelligence developers. Complete training, as assigned, within the expected timeframes. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred

  • Coursework or specialization in finance, data science, or machine learning, is highly desirable​

  • Relevant internship or project experience in finance, with a focus on financial analysis, applying machine learning techniques to the analysis

  • Experience with data analysis, machine learning, or data science

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling

  • Proficient programming skills in Python, R, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and Pandas are beneficial

  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools like Power BI preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to sit in front of a computer for extended periods of time
