Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator - Boca Raton, FL.
The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator collaborates with all members of the research team to effectively direct and manage all aspects of the research protocol with minimum supervision. As well as providing direct care to the research participants utilizing the nursing process with knowledge and understanding of the purpose and methodology of the protocol.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Coordinates participant enrollment, determines participant eligibility, and obtains informed consent.
Creates and maintains regulatory binders, participant charts, as well as coordinates participant appointments.
Performs nursing exams, blood draws, IV infusions and EKG for study participants (per licensure).
Collects, organizes, and maintains source documentation.
Participates in research activities by assisting in the collection of data, initiating research under supervision as appropriate.
Ensures protocol is being followed as approved by the IRB; reports all adverse events to the PI and IRB promptly.
Leads meetings with and provides regulatory support/help/advise to Principal Investigators and research team members as appropriate.
Assists the Director in developing and updating unit SOPs as well as the unit's annual budget.
Collects biological samples from research participants and processes them according to the unit and study’s specific SOPs, as well as stores and ships biological samples according to the study protocol and SOPs.
Checks crash cart monthly; orders supplies for the unit and specific research studies per protocol and SOPs.
Ensures that the monthly inventory for the unit and all research studies is completed by the research coordinators and/or research assistants.
Performs audits for active research studies and other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and twp years of appropriate experience required.
Salary:
$34.00 - $38.00 per hour.
