Aston Carter Accounting Assistant in Boise, Idaho

Job Title: Accounting AssistantJob Description

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day completion of tasks related to the Reconciliations for Audits & Payments from company-specific vendors. This includes being savvy on the computer while maintaining accuracy in data entry through Excel. Responsibilities include reviewing daily emails, invoices, vendor requests, W-9s, and departmental communication for processing. Additionally, the role involves setting up new vendors, requesting vendor information, processing a high volume of PO and non-PO invoices, reconciling invoices to packing slips and purchase orders, and processing and entering monthly credit card purchases. The Accounting Assistant will participate in weekly A/P vendor check processing, obtain approvals on invoices, respond to vendor inquiries and requests for payment, monitor and reconcile monthly vendor statements to ensure accuracy, research and correct discrepancies, assist in month-end closing, and maintain files and documentation thoroughly.

Hard Skills

  • 1+ year of Data Entry

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Strong computer skills

  • Accounting experience (nice to have)

  • Reconciliation experience (nice to have)

  • Tax experience (nice to have)

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Boise, Idaho and some days remote.

Work Environment

M-F 8am-4pm. Very laid back, you can even bring your dog to work if they are well behaved! After 60-90 days of training, there is flexibility to work 1 day from home.
