Actalent Civil Engineer in Boise, Idaho

Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description

An award-winning design firm based out of Boise, ID is looking for a Civil Engineer to support the design of institutional, retail, multi-family housing, and commercial building projects. The ideal candidate will possess 5-8 years of experience in supporting civil design engineering and have strong knowledge of grading, drainage, erosion sediment, and stormwater management. The ability to create horizontal control plans is essential. While a professional engineer license is not required, candidates must be in the process of obtaining it.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design of institutional, retail, multi-family housing, and commercial building projects.

  • Create horizontal control plans.

  • Manage grading, drainage, erosion sediment, and stormwater systems.

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality architecture and top-notch service.

Essential Skills

  • 5-8 years of experience in civil engineering within land development.

  • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, erosion sediment, and stormwater management.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • EIT certification or in the process of obtaining it.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in site development and storm water management.

  • Professional Engineer license (preferred but not required).

Work Environment

Our firm is an ESOP company that offers a flexible work schedule, including 3 days in the office and 2 remote days (which can be chosen by the employee). We also offer half-day Fridays. We provide comprehensive benefits including healthcare coverage (80% of the employee’s portion and 50% of dependents), paid maternity/paternity leave after one year, bereavement pay, and flexible hours. Additionally, we offer a quarterly profit distribution after the first year and a generous PTO plan which varies based on years of professional experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
