Data Governance Internship
Idaho, Oregon, Utah or Washington - Remote/Hybrid
This full-time, 12-week internship is scheduled to begin in June
2024
Join our Data Governance team which facilitates cross-functional
collaboration to maintain high quality data across the enterprise. The
Data Governance Internship will provide an entre into a high demand
career pathway. The individual selected for this role will be able to
apply best practices to business use.
The Data Governance Intern will be an integral member of the team
performing the following duties:
- Assist in maintaining the company\'s Data Governance framework
- Work collaboratively to apply Data Governance practices in an
efficient, effective, consistent manner
- Support Data Stewardship activities at the enterprise level to
enable Cambia to build and maintain a trustworthy data environment
that creates business value and compliance with regulation
- Maintain policies, standards, and processes related to Cambia\'s
Data Governance pillars, ensuring they remain aligned with business
processes, internal policies, and external regulations
- Provide user assistance and supports administrative functions for
Data Governance tools
- Support Cambia\'s enterprise business glossary
- Support Cambia\'s enterprise metadata effort
- Attend meetings as data governance representative
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of metrics and dashboards to
characterize and measure the value and effectiveness of Data
Governance
Combine your academic experience with the following skills and
abilities:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
focused on Business, Business Information Systems, Computer Science,
Data Governance and Information Management disciplines (including
data stewardship, data quality, metadata management, master data
management, information lifecycle management, security and privacy),
Operations Technology Management or a related field. (Individuals
who have completed their degree in the last six months are also
encouraged to apply.)
- Prior experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio; familiarity with SharePoint
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as be
an active member of an Agile Team
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and
multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and respond quickly to deadlines
- Prior project management skills a plus
- Prior knowledge of the design and execution of processes related to
governing data, including the application of Data Governance
standards to data domains and projects, and the facilitation of
discussions between business units to determine the best data
governance solution for the enterprise a plus
- An interest in the intersection of technology and healthcare
- Prior experience presenting or using data visualization tools to
illustrate a storyline
- Minimum of 3.0 cumulative undergraduate grade point average
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must reside in Idaho, Oregon, Utah or Washington during internship
timeline
The base hourly pay range for this job is \$25.00/hour
