What does a Planning Analyst do for us?
The Planning Analyst works in a processed-based environment and performs economic and statistical research, fundamental analysis, forecasting and computer modeling.
This role has a non-exempt entry level position while the analyst and senior levels are exempt. Wage is as follows:
Entry : $29.86 -$37.33 - Non-Exempt
Analyst/Senior : $77,646.40-$116,875.20 – Exempt
REQUIRED SKILLS
Entry Analyst:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Entry Analyst:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or related field
OR
- An equivalent of formal education and work experience
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in a related field
Experience:

- 2 years of professional analytical experience in planning and optimization, modeling and forecasting, or engineering
Analyst:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or related field
OR
- An equivalent of formal education and work experience
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in a related field
Experience:
- 2 years of professional analytical experience in planning and optimization, modeling and forecasting, or engineering
Preferred:
Master’s degree in above fields or equivalent of formal education and work experience a plus
5 or more years of professional level work performing and presenting forecasting, economic, load research and/or statistical analysis
Electric utility experience
Working knowledge of Oracle OLAP, Phython, R, Stata, C++, LodeStar, MV90, SAS, SQLServer, MetrixND, Meter Data Management, WireVision, and GIS
Senior Analyst:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or related field
OR
- An equivalent of formal education and work experience
Experience:
- 5 years of professional analytical experience in planning and optimization, modeling and forecasting, or engineering
Preferred:
Master’s degree in above fields or equivalent of formal education and work experience a plus
5 years of Utility experience performing and presenting forecasting, economic, load research and/or statistical analysis

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
