Position:

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is hiring a Records Program Lead, Analyst 3 for the State Office located in Boise, Idaho.

Salary Range: $29.75 - $33.71

Responsibilities:

Records management:

· Overse e DEQ's records management program and electronic document management system (EDMS), including proper collection, indexing, archival retention, and disposal of all official department records.

· Develop indexing systems and maintain indexes, libraries, and retention schedules.

· Monitor record systems and regulatory requirements to ensure department and public access to agency records.

· Respond to statewide requests for record retention and disposition.

· Investigate technology options to help DEQ better manage records such as automated workflows, new EDMS system, or training.

· Evaluate and implement solutions to record information management problems.

· Develop policy and internal capacity to use existing technology tools.

· Provide training and assistance to all staff on DEQ's EDMS system.

· Develop and maintain record-related policies, procedures, and training.

Public record requests (PRRs):

· Oversee DEQ's PRR program.

· Ensure all PRRs are fulfilled properly.

· Implement new dedicated PRR software.

· Train department administrative staff on PRR procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of a bachelor's degree in the physical or biological sciences, political science, business or public administration, engineering, or related natural resources management field OR any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to a typical four (4) year bachelor's degree. For example: Successful completion of sixty (60) semester hours of study, including twenty four (24) semester hours in a subject required for the specific discipline, is equivalent to two (2) years of undergraduate education; and/or experience performing routine duties in completing multiple tasks such as policy research, data collection, interpretation, analysis and preparation of reports and written documents for at least two (2) years can substitute for one (1) year of college. AND ;

At least four (4) years' experience managing and implementing, projects or component(s) of programs that are environmental, regulatory, or administrative in nature, where you were required to routinely perform program or project planning; provide technical assistance to staff, special interest groups and the public; and provide policy and/or regulatory interpretation and/or development.

OR ;

Possession of a master's degree in any of the above fields AND   at least two (2) years' professional experience managing and implementing, or overseeing projects or component(s) of programs that are environmental in nature, where you were required to routinely perform program or project planning; provide technical assistance to staff, special interest groups and the public; and provide policy and/or regulatory interpretation and/or development.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and work on a computer for 2-4 hours at a time.

• Ability to bend and reach for filing purposes.

• Some periods of heavy reading and typing are required.

Other Requirements:

· Valid driver’s license

· Some travel may be required.
