The Shift Process Engineer in Manufacturing Development supports fabrication processing on the front line of innovation at the world’s leading memory and storage solution provider! This team is primarily responsible for improving process quality, working on yield and efficiency improvements, cost reduction, as well as resolving manufacturing line problems.

Safety and Quality:

  • Completes all required safety training and conducting all work in accordance with safety policies

  • Creates and maintains a safe work environment

  • Performs safety audits and walkthroughs

  • Consistently supports established safety and quality processes

  • Participates in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) actions

  • Contributes to continuous improvement and problem solvingefforts

  • Identifies and helps resolve training opportunities or procedure gaps

  • Ensures the quality of task updates and passdowns

  • Manages queue time alerts and helps coordinate when to stop/start lot ordering

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain safety training and act in accordance with safety and environmental sustainability guidelines

  • Resolve yield, quality, defect and equipment related issues

  • Apply SPC, FDC, and 8D methodology to identify, diagnose and resolve process issues

  • Analyze data using various application and engineering knowledge to make critical process decisions

  • Provide troubleshooting support for complex process issues

  • Coordinate and lead meetings; track action items and provide resources for timely closure of actions

  • Perform project work to optimize wafer processing

  • Must be willing to work any shift on a rotating schedule (allowing for flexibility around school schedule where applicable)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Required: MS or BS in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or semiconductor experience; however, other engineering or related fields may be considered

  • Interest in advanced technology and a tenacious desire to learn

  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent ability to prioritize and run numerous tasks at a time

  • Efficiently utilize available resources and seek peers’ and/or management help to eliminate roadblocks and work towards solutions

  • Strong communication and coordinating abilities to work across various functional teams

  • Outstanding people skills with ability to work efficiently across multiple teams and partners

  • Flexible with job responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding and working knowledge of SPC and Design of Experiments

  • Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and react to shifting priorities to meet business needs

  • Proficient in one or more scripting, programming and visualization tools: Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, Microsoft Suite

  • Advanced problem-solver – understanding of data, good data intuition and data visualization skills

  • Experience or knowledge of data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing

  • Hands-on experience in the field of data analytics, preferably with experience querying databases
