Actalent Production Planner 3 in Boston, Massachusetts

Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join our dynamic team. The Production Planner will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of production activities to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to optimize production plans and resolve any issues that may arise.

Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to support production schedules.

Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and other software tools to manage production data and generate reports for management review.

Lead and mentor junior production planning staff, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are met.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the robotics or high-tech industry.

Strong knowledge of production planning principles, techniques, and best practices.

Proficiency in using ERP systems and other production planning software tools like Deltek Costpoint Planning Module.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Proven leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing junior staff members.
