Chewy Salesforce Architect - Pet Health/Customer Platforms in Boston, Massachusetts

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Salesforce Architect to join our Customer Service Platforms team. The Salesforce Architect will be primarily responsible for scaling and supporting our Pet Health B2B offering. Responsibilities include SFDC integration with AWS, customization of our existing Sales Cloud implementation, testing infrastructure creation, day-to-day troubleshooting of system issues, scripting and development needed for our Pardot implementation, and documenting & configuring systems. This individual will be required to be familiar with Agile processes and effectively communicate, think analytically and solve problems.

What you'll do:

We are looking for a driven individual to take part in our continued rollout of Sales Cloud, Pardot and related integrations. As part of the Customer Service Platforms team you'll have diverse responsibilities:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of several Chewy business processes and systems

  • Create customizations to our existing SFDC implementation including Pardot and Sales Cloud

  • Monitor alerts and reports to ensure systems are functioning properly

  • Configure and customize the Salesforce system

  • Follow established best practices offering repeatable and scalable business processes

  • Interact directly with business users to support solution implementation for business needs

  • Work independently or with team-members and display the ability to coordinate multiple tasks/assignments

  • Take ownership of aspects of our continued effort to deploy a modern microservices based architecture.

  • Assist with root cause analysis and provide solutions for production and development issues

  • Stay current with SFDC, Pardot, AWS and related fields

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years Experience administering/developing Salesforce or Pardot for large organizations - configuration, workflows, reports, rules, etc.

  • 5+ years experience architecting and implementing SFDC customizations, including integration with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Platform API’s

  • A demonstrated history of integrating multiple enterprise systems in a microservices environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree (MIS or CS preferred) or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience including the ability to perform independent analysis

  • 7+ years of experience developing applications in web technologies (ES6, JSON, Node, Java, AWS Lambda, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, etc.)

  • 5+ years of experience working web server technologies

  • 5+ years of experience working with web services (SOAP/HTTP, REST)

  • Must be team oriented and have a customer service mindset

  • Self-driven, able to work independently or within a team setting

  • Results oriented and adaptable

  • A working knowledge of call center/contact center operations and processes including general knowledge of related applications, databases, and web technology

  • Position may require travel

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AWS technologies – Lambda, State functions, SNS, SQS, etc.

  • Comfortable working with remote team members

  • Professional Scrum Master Certification

  • Experience using and implementing automated testing

  • Certified Salesforce Pardot and/or Sales Cloud Consultant

  • Certified Salesforce Architect (technical preferred, but will consider application and system)
