The EMEA Professional Services Business Unit is a rapidly growing function within the Zebra organization and is critical to the provision of an excellent customer experience through successful project delivery. The Project Management team is looking for a Project Manager to provide project support services as we deliver key customer-facing projects across EMEA region. This is an exciting role, working in a dynamic team which provides continuous improvement in the way we deliver new technology projects to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with and managing 3rd party software development teams across Europe

  • Being the main point of contact for Zebra with the customer, building and managing key relationships and delivering within agreed timescales/SLA’s etc.

  • Effectively manages projects of small to moderate scope leading the project team to execute against timeline and budget metrics.

  • Creates a clear project Scope statement and builds a supporting plan which effectively factors in resource availability, task durations and dependencies, budgets and costs. Includes simple Risk Management plans. Understands the makeup of the project/team and directs supervision to the areas of greatest need.

  • Checks progress regularly against the plan and adjust to optimize execution. Documents progress against the project plan throughout the project.

  • Formulates status reports and presents to the team and immediate manager. Status reports are expected to be concise summaries, tailored to the audience - from VP’s down to individual contributors. Personally, knowledgeable on most aspects of the program, down to a reasonable level of detail according to criticality.

  • Has the ability to see cross-functional impacts of decisions and project plans and execution. Balances scope, schedule and budget considerations to adjust the project with minimal impact to the business.

  • Independently engages additional resources as needed to address obstacles or delays. Adjusts the plan per management guidelines as delays or obstacles are experienced.

  • May lead multiple moderate sized projects with cross-functional teams in numerous locations and time zones.

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of Project Management techniques and approaches.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a Project Manager with some commercial experience (ideally 2 - 5 years+) and you will be involved in a fast-paced environment and you will need:

  • Intermediate communication and facilitation skills

  • Intermediate presentation skills. Demonstrated comfort in presenting to peer level or one level up cross functional audiences

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of fundamentals with project management approaches, tools and methodologies. PMP certification preferred or in progress

  • Intermediate skills in PC based documentation tools including MS Office and MS Project

  • Intermediate skills in delegation and follow up

  • Demonstrated working knowledge/experience of technical business unit assigned to (Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.)
