The Battery-Pack & Advanced Mobility Senior Sales Manager is responsible for all commercial aspects of Sales for European and South American territories.. Responsible for regional sales engineers goals, sales metrics and assessing activity to meet objectives. Support Global management team in Budget and Strategic Planning. Assure business profitability. Manage regional sales team to develop new accounts, markets, and sales of new products in accordance with the Company's Business Plan. Maintains highest level of knowledge possible of Company's products, their applications, services and policies. Services all customers within the assigned territory. Provides Company management with market information and competitive updates. Maintains cognizance of all market influences. Operates within assigned budget. Manages channels of distribution.

Penetrates and develops new accounts while maintaining existing business and integrating product/process and application knowledge into successful territory plan. Prospective news customers, provides information and demonstrations. Assesses customer requirements and competitor activity.

Sells the company's products exclusively within the automotive market.

The position reports to the Global Director | BAM Sales and Product Marketing. Position has direct contact with the Product/Market Managers, Customer Service Representatives, and Application Engineers. Travel is normally required for this position. Must have the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent is expected to perform the duties Living the ALKEGEN Values of Safety, Ethics, People, Commitment, Customer Focus, Innovation, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, and Speed and Agility.

  • Manage Regional Sales Team and Customers To

  • Meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Improve customer relationship with daily follow-up/communication;

  • Target accounts by present and potential sales revenues/EBITDA, cost to sell and service, and probability of success.

  • Allocate time based on account targeting.

  • Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts.

  • Increase market share by connecting with key accounts to promote ALKEGEN products, prepare and conduct training and educational seminars, collect competitive information, handle and resolve problems and complaints, and collect overdue receivables.

  • Prepare written presentations, reports and price quotations.

  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues, products and markets for ALKEGEN products.

  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.

  • Support on strategy development for European and South American Regions.

  • Build an effective organization: Implement resource strategy including the identification and development of resources, training and talent development.

Administrative:

  • Lead and Support budgeting and forecasting activities

  • Lead and Support five year strategic plan activities

  • Communicate competitive information to corporate marketing

  • Review customer contracts.

  • Analyzing/monitoring data and reports.

Company Relations:

  • Comply with all company policies and operate within expense budget.

  • Work with, develop positive relationships with, communicate with, and coordinate activities with employees in other functional areas.

  • Communicate effectively, cooperate with sales teams and management.

Uses the Adaptive Coaching process for communication, goal alignment, problem solving, and career planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in business or technical discipline (MBA preferred), with a minimum of eight years’ experience in a leadership role.

  • Experience evaluating and recalibrating the direction, key functions, deliverables, structure and skills of the Product Management and Application Engineering team

  • Coaching, mentoring and communication | Ability to act as a coach to all levels in the organization. Seen as a willing resource to the organization.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing a sales, product management or technical organization including growing revenue and managing a portfolio of technical products.

  • Proven people leader and developer of talent. This is a seasoned sales and marketing professional with extensive product and market knowledge.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and executive presentation experience.
