Under the direction of the Machine Maintenance and Facilities Manager,
the Electrical Maintenance Technician III will have a strong background
in electrical maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and be able
to troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical systems. The Electrical
Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for maintaining,
repairing, and upgrading electrical systems and equipment, ensuring that
they operate at peak efficiency and reliability. Summary of primary
duties and responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repair of
electrical systems and equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex
electrical systems. Identify and repair electrical faults and anomalies.
Install and configure new electrical systems and equipment. Maintain
accurate records of all maintenance and repair work. Collaborate with
other maintenance technicians as needed. Follow all safety protocols and
procedures. Qualifications/Requirements: 5-10 years of experience in an
industrial manufacturing environment Experience troubleshooting and
repairing CNC equipment or similar complex machines. Must be able to
troubleshoot down to the component level. Experience using a CMMS
software and JDE or similar. Must have Lock out/Tag out and electrical
safety experience. Must be able to work in a team environment and
willing to learn new skills via OJT or external training courses.
Advanced electrical troubleshooting on three phase, 220-480VAC equipment
Advanced electrical troubleshooting on low voltage (12-24 VDC)
components Must be able to read electrical schematics and mechanical
drawings as well as the ability to understand and follow oral and/or
written instructions given in English. Must be able to diagnosis
electrical and mechanical issues without using a schematic or drawing.
5-10 years of experience troubleshooting Fanuc controls/motors and PLCs
Experience setting Fanuc control perimeters and settings. 5-10 years of
troubleshooting electrical components, i.e. contactors, relays,
breakers, transformers, fuses, servo drives/motors, DC/AC motors, power
supplies, transducers, proxy switches, photosensors, light curtains, and
interlocks Pneumatics and hydraulics troubleshooting/repair experience
Must be able to read and interpret machine error codes using
manufactures manual or conduct research via the internet, email, or
phone. Must be able to research replacement parts on older equipment
where replacement parts and manuals may not be readily available. Must
be a creative thinker with the drive and ability to make projects
successful. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication
skills. Ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines with
attention to details. Requires in-depth knowledge of Workplace
Organization (5S) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Must have
moderate to extensive MIG and/or TIG welding experience.
Automation/robotic experience is highly desired. Understanding of CNC
M-code is highly desired. Experience troubleshooting and repairing one
or more of the following manufacturers is highly desired: Okuma, Kima,
Bridgeport, Davenport, Buffoli, Nakamura-Toma, Porta, Trumpf laser or
Robodrill. Completion and passing of a Basic Math/English and Mechanical
Aptitude Testing required. Physical Requirements: Frequent lifting,
carrying and/or moving items up to 35 lbs Able to climb up/down and work
off ladders. Able to work in tight spaces. Kneeling, bending, and
standing for most of the day. Able to work in a non-air-conditioned
environment.
