Volt is immediately hiring for an Electrical Engineer in
Brimfield, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity with our client who
is the world\'s leading manufacturer of specialty transport
carriers-with machines operating worldwide in the metals/ material
handling industry.
As an Electrical Engineer you will coordinate and complete simple to
moderately complex design projects (i.e. electrical system design and
wire harness design) to satisfy customers and/or engineering orders. You
will provide technical information and assistance for colleagues and
other departments. Within this role, you will:
- Develop new products or expansion of current product line and
prepare technical objectives and specifications
- Review instructions and sketches received from Project Engineering
Manager or Supervisor and perform necessary design and development
studies to determine best approach to the design
- Create or modify electrical schematic for project
- Make calculations to determine size and safety of electrical
components
- Prepare layouts and details of electrical assemblies and
sub-assemblies
- Keep supervisor informed of progress of project and problems
encountered, initiate design reviews and make changes where
necessary
- Maintain adequate and permanent record of projects including
evaluations and other documents of the project
- Assist in preparation of Engineering data required for sales
- Work with Manufacturing regarding status of manufacturing,
engineering difficulties encountered. Possible changes in design,
tooling, etc.
- Maintain contact with Purchasing regarding component needed,
specifications, quality, cost and availability
- Provide engineering assistance to Product Support & Marketing
Department and Customers as needed, some travel maybe required
- Ensure that deadlines and requirements set for Engineering Projects
are met
- Ensure that all Engineering related enquiries are resolved within
appropriate timeframes
This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering
- 2 or more years of Electrical Designer experience preferred
- Computer programming experience preferred
- Mobile equipment electrical system experience
- Intermediate understanding of UG NX and Solid Edge computer aided
design
- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office
- Intermediate understanding of Infor XA
- Familiarity with automotive or heavy equipment electronics
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems
Salary: \$70,000- \$85,000 per year
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several
factors, including the candidate\'s education, work experience, work
location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
