Finance Manager, Service Change and Transformation

If so, you could be the ideal candidate for our Finance Manager role in Service Change and Transformation, based in either London, Bristol, Belfast, Manchester, or Birmingham, with necessary travel.

This role involves supporting the Managed Service and Design & Delivery finance teams to drive change, improve processes, and enhance the insights we provide to our Operational units.

You will offer financial support to the Finance Business Partners and Operational teams of the two units, transforming the way we use data to add real value to commercial discussions. This will shift the conversation between finance and operational trading teams to focus on critical issues and drive corrective plans.

You will review key processes to identify potential improvements, whether to simplify processes, drive consistency, or enhance the value derived from the process. A part of the role also involves ensuring that key processes are understood by the finance business partners and that key process flows are documented.

Tracking demand is crucial, and this role will delve into how we can manage, manipulate, and report data to ensure both units effectively monitor demand compared to budget.

Additionally, the role holder should approach the role with an open and inquisitive mind, ready to challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to make changes to the current outlook and budgeting process.

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Delivers financial and commercial support to key stakeholders, driving optimal business judgements and delivering better financial and commercial performance.

  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering to drive change and transformation.

  • Provide robust and insightful analysis to key stakeholders which explains the key drivers – cost transformation, demand and efficiency.

  • Drive a data-led and insight orientated culture, ensuring high quality data sets for decision making are available.

  • Work collaborative to tell the story for Service.

  • Reviewing and understanding data flows to document key process and drive change in processes where needed.

  • Lead on outlook / budget process changes that drive simplification.

  • Be an ambassador for SAP and drive the use of our financial systems across our teams.

You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).

  • Ability to tell a story with data - leveraging data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and effectively communicating this to business audiences.

  • A proven track record of influencing stakeholder requirements effectively.

  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and improving financial performance.

  • Strategic capability coupled with commercial awareness.

  • A collaborative approach to problem-solving.

  • Proficiency in Excel, strong written and verbal presentation skills, and a keen eye for detail.

  • Willingness to question the status quo - Be open to voicing a thoughts and exploring the “art of the possible”.

  • Experience in managing financial projects and delivering process improvements.
