Customer Service Representative

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under direct supervision, the employee will perform either payment-related or utility maintenance functions. Responsible for processing work orders, utility billing, receipting functions and account maintenance. Provides customer service and address related issues as necessary. Provide accurate and efficient assistance to the general public, business community and City staff. Answer inquiries and requests from the general public and business community through the provision of professional customer service skills. Generate and mail various memos, notices, billings, and other relevant materials to customers and staff. Verifies accuracy of all documents, forms, and applications required for payments, work orders, reading transactions and/or billing transactions. Performs daily reconciliation tasks, such as reconciling daily cash receipts and cash drawer balances, processing information from financial system reports, reconciling utility accounts receivables and processing daily transaction reports.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required Excellent communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office features) Cashier experience beneficial Must possess and maintain a valid driver license
