Who are we?

The Cloud Deployment Engineering (CDE) team at Oracle NetSuite Global Business Unit is responsible for core services and technologies in Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). With the world moving towards the Cloud, NetSuite is actively adopting many Oracle Cloud solutions to support growth and performance. This is where the Cloud Deployment Engineering team at NetSuite comes in. We support the deployment of technologies and infrastructure management in OCI.

Prior experience in managing highly complex technical projects is essential for you to be successful in the role. Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant hands-on systems engineering experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and infrastructure as code

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

  • Must demonstrate an ability to establish relationships and build rapport to influence colleagues at all levels, uncover business or technical issues, and facilitate their resolution

  • Excel in all facets of verbal and written communication; leads and inspires the team via open communication, effective listening, and strong collaborative networks; has excellent negotiation skills, is an expert coordinator, and can orchestrate change through influence

  • Proven experience with process analysis, capacity analysis, and service quality.

  • Identifies challenges and directs resources to address the challenges in a directed, methodical, cost-effective, and data-driven manner

  • Leverages analytical experience to build a road map to meet the needs of the department and the employer

  • Experienced user of a ticketing system (Jira or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Linux

  • Experience with coding languages (Python and Bash)

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, etc.)

  • Experience with Configuration Management (Saltstack, Ansible, Chef)

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent industry experience

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

The following are the essential responsibilities of this role, but are not limited to:

  • Manage a team of 6-8 resources in remote locations

  • Be involved in the engineering hiring process for the team

  • Provide team members mentoring and guidance on their career growth

  • Promote organizational culture and values

  • Provide guidance and leadership to projects

  • Drive process definition, continual improvement, and governance

  • Work closely with Operation teams and executive management to understand their requirements and translate them into deliverables

  • Set direct report goals and priorities aligning with corporate strategic priorities

  • Own documentation process and policies

  • Collaborate with service consumers to define KPIs
