our programs more accessible to all. JOB TITLE: Medical Assistant -
Bilingual Haitian Creole speaking LOCATION: Brockton. Some travel to
Plymouth and New Bedford HOURS: Full-time (Monday-Friday, including some
evenings) SALARY: \$28.10/hour BENEFITS: Medical, dental, holiday, paid
earned leave, 403b, etc. DUTIES: The Medical Assistant will work within
a sexual and reproductive health services team to support the provision
of clinical services by providing the following: * Provide clients with
non-judgmental and accurate information regarding reproductive health
issues, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, HIV, Hepatitis,
pregnancy options, and pregnancy prevention. * Perform all lab duties
including but not limited to calibration verification, controls,
proficiency testing, and lab log documentation. * Perform routine lab
functions and testing including phlebotomy, urine pregnancy testing, HIV
and Hepatitis testing and prepare specimens for transport. * Support
the provision of abortion procedures to provide clinician and/or patient
support. * Room patients and obtain and record client\'s personal
medical history including gynecological, obstetrical and sexual history.
* Accurately enter data into electronic health record system *
Participate in morning clinic huddle. * Prepare and maintain exam
rooms. * Other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager. Requirements
* REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Haitian Creole speaking; high school diploma
or equivalent; prior experience as Medical Assistant in busy office;
computer literacy essential. Must demonstrate good interpersonal and
communication skills in English and be sensitive to the needs of a
culturally diverse population; prior experience working with low income
and vulnerable populations; demonstrated ability to communicate unbiased
reproductive health knowledge to patients (adolescents and adults of all
genders) in an effective and culturally competent, non-judgmental
manner. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Medical Assistant Certificate, GYN
