Position Yard Manager
Description
This position is responsible for efficiently and effectively managing the yard in a fast paced construction company environment. Experience with heavy duty trucks, trailers and heavy equipment is preferred. Managing experience is a must.
Position Requirements
Manage the day-to-day operations of the yard
Manage work orders
Motivate, mentor, and empower workers to achieve company goals; measure team member success on an ongoing basis and coach/take corrective action as necessary
Manage purchasing for the department, including analyzing the options and determining the best course of action
Ensure the maintenance of the yard is in good order and in accordance with safety requirements
Coordinate training and development opportunities
Communicate and maintain a positive relationship with all customers and employees
Track inventory of Feeney Brothers tools, equipment and maintaining records
Budgeting tool and yard purchases
Keeping general order, organization, neatness of yard
