Description
Robert Half has a position available for an Accounting Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This position is a permanent role and is located in the Brookfield, Wisconsin area.
Your responsibilities in this role
Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing
Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis
Post financial information to journals and ledgers
Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances
Assist with general accounting tasks, including G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts
Requirements - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Proficiency in journal entries
Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
