Description
Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist. The role is crucial to our operations as it maintains compliance with internal controls and accounting policies whilst ensuring the accurate and timely processing of agent and broker commissions and payments. A secondary focus includes activities related to general reconciliations, particularly member and vendor payments and refunds. This contract to hire position requires remarkable attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Complete the full accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt to payment
Process employee expense reports, ensuring all activities align with company policies
Manage vendor details and set up in line with established protocols
Oversee the timely and accurate calculation and process of agent and broker commissions
Investigate and resolve issues associated with invoice processing and vendor setup
Process member refunds and manage the unclaimed property process
Participate in the month-close process preparing related reports and analyses
Work on assigned special projects
Cross-train and perform backup procedures as needed
Qualifications:
An associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (desired but not required)
2+ years of experience in a Finance, Accounting or another related field
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial process software
An in-depth understanding of basic accounting practices
Ability to interpret laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
Proven initiative and collaboration skills
Demonstrated adaptability and openness to new ideas and approaches
