Candidates must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate ’ s experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be considered.

Purpose of Position : Receptionist is responsible for greeting, assisting, and providing direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization .

Schedule: Monday – Friday (Day Shift)

Salary : $20.19

Roles, Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

  • Greet clients, visitors, and guests; determine the purpose of each person’s visit and direct or escort them to the appropriate location

  • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls to staff; take messages and schedule appointments

  • Receive mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries; deliver/distribute items as needed

  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks i.e. filing, recordkeeping, etc.

  • Other related duties as assigned by the Administrator

    Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of database entry and email i.e. Outlook

    Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, and organized

  • Ability to manage time effectively

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and execute goals

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate discretion

  • Ability to understand the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities

  • Demonstrated commitment/passion for serving the elderly and/or supporting communities who have experienced systemic oppression and/or bias (i.e., people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice-involved persons, etc.)
