Learn more about Aeon at www.aeon.org. Position Summary We are seeking highly skilled maintenance professionals to join our team at Huntington Place on the 2nd shift, Part-time Monday-Friday 4pm-9pm. Huntington Place is a large community of 834 apartment homes in Brooklyn Park, MN and this position would be on a large team of maintenance, cleaning and grounds professionals. 2nd shift Maintenance Technicians will focus on regular work orders at the start of the shift, emergency work orders later into the evening, and will work on common area and vacant unit work orders while not covering emergency work orders. The 2nd shift Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Senior Site Manager or the Maintenance Manager. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned by performing a wide variety of general maintenance and repair functions including: Plumbing Electrical Appliance repair Air handler and general HVAC maintenance Lock changes Apartment turnovers Preventative maintenance Installation and repair of window coverings, doors, cabinets, light fixtures, etc; Skills & Qualifications Must have proven knowledge and experience in all areas of general maintenance and must be able to demonstrate high level understanding and skills in multifamily apartment maintenance 3-5+ years of apartment maintenance experience is strongly preferred Ability to engage in interpersonal communication that is culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations Must have a commitment to learning and participating in Aeon's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts Possess a prideful work ethic and be a team player Possess a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and vehicle insurance Own basic tools Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, bend and kneel for extended periods of time Ability to complete daily tours between properties including but not limited to inspecting grounds, common areas, hallways, stairwell and apartment homes Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally Ability to reach above and below the shoulders Ability to use hands and fingers to grasp, twist and pull Ability to withstand external weather conditions such as working outside in the rain, cold, heat or other adverse weather Ability to quickly respond to sights and sounds that may pose a threat to persons or property Compensation & Hours This 2nd shift position compensates between $27-$33/hr depending on experience and skill level. In addition, this Maintenance Technician position has NO On-Call! Hours are Monday-Friday, 4pm-9pm.
