MAJOR FUNCTION Directs the financial affairs of the Nilfisk United States Distribution Center (USDC) including the validation of all financial controls and procedures within the business, preparation of advanced financial analyses of operations including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, preparation of budgets and forecasts in order to confirm precise reviews of the business's current and projected financial position ensuring integrity of information. Furthermore the Senior Controller lead and provide analytics on strategic initiatives, identifying risks and opportunities during each quarter, including development of financial models and analysis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES General Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting a business unit with annual production revenue of approximately 250 TUSD Responsible for USDC financial reporting and analysis to Group Management Responsible for USDC financial forecasting and budgeting activities including preparation and analysis of information, presenting to Group Management Responsible for advanced local financial analysis to ensure integrity of information provided may be used to make business decisions Responsible for review of transfer pricing including development of transfer prices, evaluation of purchase costs and selling prices related to intercompany transactions Responsible for advising and providing information to Group Management to identify finance and operational issues timely for quick resolution and/or action Coordinates periodical closing process to ensure that there is accuracy and timeliness, maintain a strict confidentiality of operational, financial, and business information Supports and reviews internal controls and procedures in compliance with IFRS, IAS, US GAAP, SOX and Internal Group Policies Review, analyze, and interpret results of all Financial Statements and make specific recommendations to management which will result on cost reductions and/or profit improvement Responsible for an effective cycle count program Responsible to be a Business Partner and Team player with USDC management assisting fellow managers whenever possible Active partner in current SAP roll-out to USDC ensuring reporting requirements are covered Keep senior management informed of the divisions' performance and provide advice on all financial matters. Assist North America corporate controlling in acquisitions and other projects from time to timeResponsible for advanced local financial analysis to ensure integrity of information provided may be used to make business decisions MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master degree and CPA or CMA strongly preferred EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 10 years' experience in positions leading up to Senior Controller or Finance Director, preferably in manufacturing and distribution environments KNOWLEDGE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Full understanding of accounting philosophy and procedures Previous experience supporting a supply chain/logistics operation. Ability to understand business issues and develops projects to address them as necessary High level of business acumen; Integrity, professional work and business ethics, Highly articulate, with excellent listening skill; someone who can effectively adapt mode and style appropriately to a targeted audience and situation; Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, including being able to present in front of audience.
