Overview
Flatiron is seeking a senior-level Corporate Equipment Manager to lead
corporate equipment strategy and execution. This position will play an
essential role in aligning Company and District objectives, as well as
leading equipment financial performance and implementing actions as necessary
to ensure favorable results. In coordination with corporate finance and
district operations, this role determines optimal asset acquisition,
reviews usage, and disposal strategies.
What you will be doing
Determines company equipment strategy to ensure competitiveness and
profitability of company equipment assets.
Develops and implements policy and procedures for company-wide equipment
assets
Works closely with districts and provides guidance on equipment and vehicle
purchases and disposals.
Reviews equipment utilization to understand individual monthly cost.
Determines and establishes internal equipment rates to ensure cost
competitiveness.
Determines and establishes internal equipment rates to ensure return on
investment is met.
Works closely with districts to understand project schedules to ensure
equipment is available when needed.
Works with joint venture partners to establish project equipment strategies
and agreements that support company-owned assets on the project.
Works with estimating teams to review equipment costs and to develop estimated
rates for future projects.
Applies principles of accounting to analyze monthly financial information for
the company equipment program.
Analysis of asset costs, and utilization and provides guidance on increasing
efficiency and reducing costs.
Collaborates with various corporate departments to ensure overall company
objectives and requirements are being met.
Works closely with Procurement team to establish district and national
accounts.
Provides recommdations for acquisitions and disposals.
Maintains knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan.
Support published corporate policies.
Perform additional assignments per management's direction.
What we are looking for
Bachelor's degree in related field required. Business Management, Civil
Engineering, Construction Management or Finance preferred.
10+ years Heavy Equipment Management experience required.
Mechanical maintenance and repairs experience preferred.
Valid Driver's License.
Certified Equipment Management (CEM) preferred.
Key fiduciary understanding, responsibilities, and financial acumen.
Expert understanding of monthly equipment costs.
Familiar with leases, loan terms, interest rates, depreciation schedule.
Proven leadership, negotiation and influencing skills.
Able to identify issues and recommend solutions to management.
Expert in corporate equipment regulations regarding licensing,
registration, environmental guidelines, etc.
Experience in accounting, finance, or business analysis in a construction
equipment management role.
Understanding of monthly equipment invoice process and MS Office Suite
required.
