About the RoleThe Technical Systems Administrator (Contract) is
responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration,
operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related
infrastructure both located within the Business Area Network and Internet
based. This individual participates in technical research and development to
enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual
ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and
related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff,

Key Responsibilities:
Deploy Linux operating system and application patches (Servers and
Workstations)
Maintain virtual machine images.
Develop tools to automate day to day activities.
Provide user support to the development teams within their Linux environments.
Assist with developing/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with Cyber Security to maintain security standards.

qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Intermediate knowledge (5+ years) of Linux operating systems (Red
Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Rocky) in an enterprise environment.
Intermediate knowledge (5+ years) Experience with Puppet
Experience creating scripts with Bash/Python
Experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter or similar hypervisors.
Experience working in application development environment.
Experience managing user access on Linux systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with automation deployment tools (Kickstart, Puppet,
Chef, Ansible, Salt)
Experience in implementing Cyber Security measures.
Experience managing HPC Clusters
Experience working with Red Hat Identity Manager/Free IPA
Experience deploying test environments for software/hardware developers.
Certified red hat, system, admin strongly desirable.
